Safety Glass
If glass panels are part of your doors, now is the time to discuss safety glasses, which provide protection and peace of mind for you and your family.
What are safety glasses?
Safety glasses are designed to withstand impacts, increase door resistance, and prevent unwanted intrusion. In our door panels, you can choose two types of safety glasses: ESG and VSG.
ESG – Tempered Safety Glass
ESG is the designation for tempered safety glass that goes through a special heat treatment process to gain extra strength. This type of glass is up to five times stronger than regular glass. What does this mean for you?
- If the glass breaks, it shatters into small, non-sharp pieces, thereby minimizing the risk of injury.
- Tempered glass resists mechanical impacts and temperature changes, making it ideal for exterior use in entrance doors
Our tempered glass offer:
In our panels HPL 912 and HPL 913 we use tempered glass automatically. These glazed panels are popular for their durability and safety. We continuously expand our tempered glass panel offerings to give you even more options.
Types of ESG glasses we offer:
- Float: Clear glass that provides a pure and natural view.
- Matelux: Matte glass that ensures privacy while allowing sufficient light.
VSG – Safety Glass with Foil
VSG is glass created by joining two or more glass layers with a foil in the middle. If the glass breaks, the pieces remain stuck to the foil, reducing injury risk and keeping the glass in the frame, providing an additional layer of protection.
Types of VSG glasses we offer:
- Conex 3.3.1: Clear glass that minimizes injury risk upon breaking and prevents penetration. We also have the Conex 3.3.1 with milk foil variant available.
- Stratobel: This is a type of glass with a coated layer. The coated layer increases thermal insulation and provides better protection against UV radiation. It's a premium solution for those seeking maximum safety and energy efficiency.
In both cases, you can rely on the quality and safety these glasses provide. Safety glasses are an investment and long-term protection for your home.
